The Storage Replication Stack (ZFS) is probably the most advanced storage type when it comes to data replicas and snapshots. Both VM images and container data always run on ZFS in the back end. The Storage Replication Stack increases the availability of business-critical data without the use of shared storage, while minimizing data loss through asynchronous replication and “live snapshot backup” functionality.
